A webbing strap as an art element: How our company supports Czech culture (not only) at the Rudolfinum

05/27/2025

When you hear the word “strap,” do you think of work gear, backpacks, or sporting equipment? How about… art?

Yes, even straps can be part of a gallery. Proof of that is our collaboration with the prestigious Rudolfinum Gallery, where a technical accessory has become a design highlight. With the opening of Iván Argote’s new exhibition, the Rudolfinum Gallery Shop is back – and we’re proud to be part of it. You can see the result directly in this Instagram post.

From textile to concept

Our Czech company, Mouka Tišnov, supplies the Rudolfinum Gallery with jacquard webbing that carries not just our craftsmanship, but also a message of cultural dialogue and sustainability. These straps complement a collection of upcycled bags and accessories made from repurposed exhibition banners. Each piece is designed by Kateřina Klímová and is a one-of-a-kind – not just in looks, but in story.

Upcycling here isn’t just a trend – it’s an approach that blends functionality, design, and environmental responsibility. And the strap is the element that “holds it all together.”

Straps featuring the Rudolfinum Gallery logo are also available on their own. But these are more than accessories – they are meaningful objects. Symbols of trust in Czech manufacturing, appreciation for craftsmanship, and the desire to do things differently.

When culture and industry pull together

Our partnership with Rudolfinum isn’t just about supplying products. It’s about deeper understanding. About how even a small product can become part of a broader cultural narrative. About merging two different worlds – industrial and artistic – into a cohesive whole.

In this context, design isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s a language for expressing quality, values, and vision. Projects like this show the importance of bridging technology and culture. A webbing strap can be both support and statement.

Together with the Rudolfinum, we’re showing that industrial production doesn’t have to stand apart from the art world. On the contrary – when those worlds connect, meaningful projects are born. And that’s something we love being part of.

Support that makes sense

But Rudolfinum is not the only project we support. We believe in the power of collaboration – across fields and across generations. That’s why we also engage in other initiatives focused on respectful creation – towards people, materials, and the environment.

We collaborate with both Czech and international brands, creative studios, sports equipment manufacturers, community projects, and design students. Whether it’s technical solutions or visual identity – we always look for ways to combine functionality with aesthetics and purpose with emotion.

We’re not just about products. We’re about relationships and long-term trust. About ensuring that when people hear “Mouka Tišnov,” they think of durability and quality – but also of responsibility, humanity, and openness to new challenges.

And what about you? Have you ever noticed how often straps accompany you?

They might be easy to overlook. You might take them for granted. But it’s in the details where true quality reveals itself – in safety, comfort, and beauty.

A webbing strap isn’t just a connector. It’s something that holds – a bag, a backpack, a concept. At Mouka Tišnov, we make webbing that lasts. Straps that serve – and speak.

And when they’re designed well – they can even belong in a gallery.
